About AutoScreen Changer

The AutoScreen is a compact, self-contained screenchanger that eliminates the need for hydraulics, screen packs, breaker plate cleaning or replacement. With no electric motors or hydraulics, the only moving part in the AutoScreen is the filter itself. It's one piece design is 100% leak proof and eliminates bolts to tighten.

The AutoScreen is fitted between the end flange of the extruder and the die. A cassette holding a reel of screen filter media is attached to the side of the AutoScreen block. The screen change is regulated by a pre-set timer or optional controller based on pressure differential, using two Dynicso pressure transducers.

The screen moves across the flow of plastic and a fresh screen enters as the spent filter screen exits; removing the impurities from the extrudate.

The stainless steel filter screen is in roll form and is easy to replace. The life of the 66-foot or 125-foot screen roll can exceed a year when the level of contamination is low. The amount and size of containment in the melt determines the screen advance frequency.

For fast color or material change, a manual override button is provided. Constant pressure "drop" allows for uninterrupted extrusion and steady process conditions. The one-piece precision-machined body is completely leak proof with no bolts to tighten.

AutoScreen automatic screenchangers are installed world wide serving the needs of blown and cast film lines, sheet, compounding, tubing, profile, multi-layer extrusion, and other products which require an uninterrupted extrusion and stable process. The AutoScreen's compact design is ideal for crowded spaces and can be also used in blow-molding and injection molding machines.

AutoScreen automatic screenchangers are available in size ranges from 1-1/4" (30mm) to 8" (200 mm). Stainless steel filter cloths are available in a variety of grades in a standard 20 or 40 meter rolls.
